It suits me. As a proofreader and copy-editor it may be made for you. When we learn to proofread and edit a new way of reading is born. We notice errors. It can be annoying. But Tortoise is well-edited and proofread. Good for my blood pressure!

Information Overload

The Internet groans with truth, lies and grey mush. How many hits will Google give for Ukraine War now? Try it later.  For quick reliable news we go to the BBC or another trusted broadcaster. But speedy facts overload us. Rapid fire, here-today, gone-tomorrow snippets cause neural storms. A slow read can be refreshing, informative and satisfying.

Sometimes we need to step back. We want to look at the evidence. Here Tortoise scores highly. Editors and proofreaders are critical. They are put off by carelessness. A bad book is usually poorly proofread. The same goes for websites and news blogs.
